I am also worried by the midi/usb incompatibility. I sure hope someone would create a little converter box thingy...

Yep I read it too... I was talking about the compatibility problem between the lack of midi on the OP-1 and the lack of usb on most of my hardware. (how do we sync it with other gear, beside a computer?)

the teenage audio device was one of the proto/wouldn't this be cool devices that appeared on the mockups included on inserts/promo materials included with elektron machines. . . prior to 2007 (I think I got one with my original mduw in 2006).

i can't fully believe this one. even with the video. or maybe just the last paragraph in their release is a joke:
"Use the magic step sequencer/arpegiator to get the notes right. If that is not enough use the built in motionsensor that sense every shake or move you make and turn it into really cool sounds. Then relax and sample a beat from the built-in FM radio or memorize a tune by whistle it into the built-in microphone. Play your piece to your friends through the built-in speaker. Or...convert it right away to mp3 and mail it to them."

i mean...what? so it's a controller, has eight built in synths, samplers and effects as well as an fm radio, a built-in speaker (that you should whistle into!) and the ability to record, convert to mp3 and send email. not to mention the "magical sequencer." really?

You've got a point there! I didn't read their release far enough... But that seems really weird.

That really caught my eye too! This thing sounds totally incredible and unique. And that display is pure porn.
